Rajakkad Estate

Overview

Why stay at Rajakkad Estate

Rajakkad Estate lies at 1,000 metres in the Palani Hills of Tamil Nadu, surrounded by coffee estates, forest and a carefully tended garden. The winding mountain approach helps set the pace for a stay shaped by quiet, fresh air and the rhythms of the surrounding villages.

At its heart is Pallam Palace, an 18th-century wooden house rebuilt at the estate in the southern vernacular tradition. Seven bedrooms combine original timber, black-oxide floors and tactile finishes with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and private access to the garden.

Days are deliberately unhurried. Guests can walk through the estate and nearby forest, visit coffee plantations and villages, watch migratory and resident birds, practise yoga in the garden or travel farther to Madurai, Kodaikanal and Palani.
