Overview
The Rambagh Palace has been home to generations of royalty in Jaipur. Built in 1835 for the queen's favourite handmaiden, it was later refurbished as a royal guesthouse and hunting lodge. In 1925, Rambagh was converted into a palace, and became the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The hotel offers rooms that include aesthetically restored suites, which were once the chambers of the former Maharaja, furnished using profusely rich fabrics and silk drapes that draw from the distinctive colourful art and warm hues of Rajasthan. Rambagh Palace offers its guests an extravagance that was once the sole preserve of kings.
