About this India itinerary

Gujarat is a unique state that offers a variety of habitats for animals of the wild. These varied landforms include dry deciduous forests, extensive grasslands, wetlands, marine ecosystems and rich moist deciduous forests. These habitats are home to some extremely rare wildlife. The Asiatic Lion is found only in Gir, and the Wild Ass only in the Little Rann of Kutch. The Black Buck which is the world's only four-horned antelope is also another protected species in Gujarat.

Everything below is a sample. Our India team will stretch it, shorten it, swap the hotels up or down a category and build the days around what you actually want to do.

October to March, the sweet spot

Most of India is at its best from October to March, when the monsoon has cleared and the days are dry and warm. April to June is hot across the plains but ideal for the Himalaya, and the south-west monsoon from June to September brings heavy rain, deep green landscapes and the lowest prices of the year.
