Edakkal Hermitage

Overview

Why stay at Edakkal Hermitage

The Edakkal Hermitage combines spectacular vistas of nature with its warm ambience and vernacular architecture. Most of the cottages in the resort are either perched on top of rocks or built around them. Built with locally sourced raw materials the rooms provide all required amenities. The Hermitage also offers an authentic tree house built with bamboo, which is erected on a tall tamarind tree. Staying here, guests can explore the myriad attractions of North Kerala including the pre historic Edakkal Caves, visits to the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, historic relics and ancient temples. The highlight of the property is its candle lit restaurant which is inside a cave.
