Located in a quaint little hamlet called Prakkanam in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, Mannaas Veedu offers home stay accommodation in a truly agrarian setting. Built according to the rules of native architecture, Mannaas has three bedrooms and a dining area centred around an open courtyard. Two rooms in the adjacent 125 year old ancestral home of the hosts are also available. All rooms are tastefully done and offer an aura of luxury and comfort, with high wooden ceilings and period furniture. The highlight of your stay at Mannaas will certainly be the ethnic and exotic menu that Mrs. Thankamma, the landlady, conjures up using fish, meat and a variety of vegetables from their own farm. Mrs. Thankamma inherited her typically Syrian Christian culinary expertise from her grandmother. Don't forget to try her 'fish molee' and duck roast. The adventurous can wash it down with a glass of toddy, the local brew extracted from the sap of coconut trees grown on the farm.
