One of the most sacred and important pilgrim centres in Kerala, Guruvayoor is a temple town whose main attraction is the famous Sree Krishna Temple here. Whilst only Hindus are allowed entry into the main sanctum of the temple, a walk around the premises is still very inspiring.

Greeted by a Kerala Travel Centre representative at the airport and transferred to Guruvayoor, the temple town near Thrissur, also known as the cultural capital of Kerala. Check into your hotel. One of the most sacred and important pilgrim centres in Kerala, the main attraction in Guruvayoor is the Sree Krishna Temple. Relax and unwind on your first day. Overnight at the Krishna Inn with a vehicle provided for your transfer.

October to March, the sweet spot
Kerala is at its best from October to March, when the rain has cleared, the backwaters are full and the coast is dry. April and May are hot and humid but quiet, and the south-west monsoon from June to September brings heavy afternoon rain, deep green hills and the lowest prices of the year. Many Ayurveda guests deliberately choose the monsoon, when the treatments are considered most effective.
