Explore Africa

Our Africa Travel Centre opens with Kenya, the country that gave safari its language. In a single trip you can move from the elephant herds of Amboseli under Kilimanjaro, up the Great Rift Valley with its soda lakes and rhino, into the big cat country of the Masai Mara, and out to the reef and dhows of the Indian Ocean.

Kenya rewards time more than distance. We would rather give you three nights in one reserve with a guide who knows every pride than six parks in nine days. Tell us how you like to travel and our Nairobi team will shape the route, the camps and the pace around you.

The Globe difference

Why travel with us

01

Specialist expertise

Your safari is planned by people who live in Kenya, know which camps are worth the money and know where the herds actually are this week.

02

Personalised service

A private 4x4 and the same driver guide throughout, so nobody else decides how long you sit with a leopard.

03

Sustainable travel

We favour community owned conservancies and camps that put money back into rhino protection, anti-poaching teams and local schools.

Our guide read the plains like a book. We saw a leopard hunt on the second morning and nobody else was there.

Six nights on safari then four on the coast was exactly the right shape for a honeymoon.

Camps were small, staff were warm, and everything ran without us having to think about it once.

They talked us out of a fourth park and into another night in the Mara. Best advice we got.

Africa holiday FAQs

June to October is dry, the grass is short and game viewing is at its easiest, with the migration herds in the Mara from late July. January to March is also dry, hot and quieter. April, May and November bring rain, greener plains, fewer vehicles and the lowest prices of the year.
